Toilet partitions

Toilet partitions give you the ability to divide a toilet in half so that someone using the facility can relieve themselves without someone else sharing their restroom. Not only does division of a toilet create privacy for each user, preventing awkward conversations and embarrassing moments, it often allows for more than one person to use at a time. This is why bathroom partition systems are such an effective design feature for restrooms.

Toilet partitions can be as simple as a wall or door, or as complex as a slide, folding screen, or combination of both. A partition that simply is installed on the floor of the restroom is referred to as a “floor plate”.

It consists of a solid piece of hard board that is anchored to the floor and covered with foil-backed carpeting, matted vinyl sheeting or other non-absorbent material. The slides and screens shown in the following images are all floor plates. The sliding doors are generally used for small residential locations where privacy is not an issue and/or when it is easier to maintain them.

There are two basic types of toilet partitions: sliding and folding.
